Lawyer wants Mutahi Ngunyi probed for hurling ‘gay slur’ at him
US-based Kenyan lawyer Makau Mutua says he has asked National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to investigate political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi over a gay slur he made against him on Twitter.
The two were locked in a virtual tiff at the weekend which was triggered by Mutua’s tweet questioning Ngunyi’s academic credentials.
There isn't a known book or substantial academic article written by @MutahiNgunyi. Nor can his CV be located anywhere. Professor? PhD?

Moments later, Ngunyi responded on Twitter.
Makau Mutua is a 'pink' MAN who talks about MEN; not their IDEAS. I will NOT indulge his distorted MASCULINITY. End of DISCUSSION

That did not go well with Mutua.
I am formally asking @Ole_kaparo and the @NCIC_Kenya to investigate @MutahiNgunyi for using a gay slur against me on his twitter account.

In the days of Adolf Hitler’s Nazis, the pink triangle was one of the concentration camp badges of shame, used to identify male prisoners who were sent there because of their homosexuality.
Today, the pink is a symbol of gay pride.
