Aswani who is the third best scorer in the Kenyan Premier League this term with 11 goals later told Nairobi News:

“I did my best to impress and the coaches over there have told me that I stand a chance of joining the team. But first, the two clubs have to discuss and agree on my transfer fees.”

Leopards treasurer Oliver Napali also hinted that the former Thika United and Al Nasr (Oman) striker could soon be making.

POTENTIAL MOVE

“We are waiting for an offer, but before that happens, the player remains in our books and has even travelled to Mombasa (for the league match against Bandari),” Napali said.

Meanwhile, Kenyan international striker Geoffrey Kataka returned home on Wednesday after completing a ten-day trial with the Ethiopian club.

However, Kataka’s situation remains unclear with neither the midfielder nor his club Posta Rangers having received a formal brief from Ethiopia as to how he fared during the trials or whether a potential move is on the cards.
