Tokodi went on to explain, “Our eyes met and I playfully proposed to her that very day. Grace is an amazing woman with a clean reputation. We had known each other for several months before we tied the knot.

The couple recently celebrated their daughter’s first birthday.

Some time ago, the couple revealed that they had lost their first child.

The reveal was made at an intimate event, documented on Tokodi’s YouTube channel, with a black and white themed party that doubled as a baby shower. It was attended by a small group of close family and friends.

“The day was beautiful in every way. We decided to have a very intimate gathering because we wanted to share this beautiful day with the people who, in one way or another, have held our hands through this journey,” Tokodi said.

During his speech at the event, Tokodi spoke openly about the difficult time they faced after losing their first child in June 2021.

Expressing gratitude for their current pregnancy, he said, “It has been a hard journey… we are here now to give thanks. This is our second attempt; we lost our first attempt around June. It was hard…but we are here again thanking God. With 8 months now…we’re going to make it 9 months…we hope for many more years”.

His wife stood beside him as he spoke, shedding a few tears.

Despite the past year’s challenges, Ekirapa reflected on their journey with a sense of fulfillment.

She revealed that they turned to prayer during difficult times, saying, “We have prayed, we have cried, we have had our moments. This one was different because we had a journey that was quite long but also fulfilling. To say it is our baby’s thanksgiving is because we are indeed where we are… our hearts are full. We have prayed, we have cried, we have had our moments…we have held hands, and we have arrived here.

Emotionally, Ekirapa explained that she had decided to hold the thanksgiving event in faith, even though her baby had not yet arrived.

“I am doing this out of faith, the same faith that has carried me through this journey,” she said.
