Hollywood’s favourite Lupita Nyong’o got a shocking reality check when she lost out at the MTV Movie awards.
The 12 years a slave Oscar award winner lost out to Jennifer Lawrence in the Best Female Performance category.
Jennifer Lawrence won for her role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Lupita expressed her disappointment on her instagram page where she posted a photo of herself lying on a coach.
It was captioned: ‘You lose you snooze #MTVMovieAwards’
The photo has been applauded online, with fans congratulating her for not making losing to look bad.
