Lurambi MP Bishop Titus Khamala mocks Francis Atwoli for his loud silence

Lurambi MP Bishop Titus Khamala is the subject of discussion on social media following his remarks on Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli.

The MP, who is well known for his comics, has poked fun at Mr Atwoli for suddenly going mute after the results of the presidential election were announced.

In a viral video, the MP sarcastically reenacts some of the catchphrases Mr Atwoli was famous for during Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition campaign rallies across the country.

“Papa Atwoli… wherever you are… don’t be afraid… come out. Be fearless, Papa Atwoli, it is Bishop talking to you… they will not believe,” the MP says while chuckling.

The MP has been a critic of the Cotu boss following his differences with the ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi. During the campaigns, the Bishop once rolled on the ground while rebuking Mr Atwoli for attacking the ANC leader.

Prior to the polls, Mr Atwoli, a close ally of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga, had said many people would not believe the outcome of the concluded presidential election results, and that Mr Odinga would win by a landslide.

However, since the Independent electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairmen Wafula Chebukati announced that William Ruto had been Mr Odinga, Mr Atwoli has been uncharacteristically silent.

This even after Mr Odinga stated that his coalition will ultimately expose the rigging plot that cost him the presidency. Mr Odinga maintains that he has a very strong case and that he will be declared the winners after the court case.
