Ex-Machachari actor Baha takes social media break for gambling therapy
Tyler Mbaya, widely known as Baha from the popular TV show Machachari, recently announced that he is taking a break from social media to focus on therapy and personal growth.
In a heartfelt message on his social media accounts, Baha expressed his desire to turn over a new leaf and prioritise his mental wellbeing.
Addressing his followers as the ‘Tyler Gang’, he explained:
“Doc feels I need a little social media break as a form of detox as I begin my journey to recovery. I agree… I need to prioritise my mental health.”

Acknowledging the importance of taking time off, Baha announced that he would be taking a two-week break to ensure a proper start to his recovery.
He ended his message with the hashtag #recovery and promised to return soon.
In a press conference on Friday 9 June, Baha openly admitted to struggling with a gambling problem.
He bravely shared his experiences, expressed his shame, and emphasised his commitment to seeking help to overcome this habit.
Baha revealed that his first therapy session had already proved helpful and urged his peers to be wary of similar vices.
Recently, Baha faced public scrutiny after being exposed by a Kenyan woman living in the United States.
The woman, known as Nurse Judy, claimed that Baha had defrauded her of Ksh20,000.

According to her, the actor borrowed the money to pay bills after claiming he was behind with his rent.
The revelation sparked a wave of criticism within the Kenyan community, with opinions divided on how the situation should have been handled.
A music video featuring Baha and Georgina was released shortly after the controversy broke, leading to further criticism of the couple, with accusations that they were seeking attention and influence.
In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News on Friday, Baha said his addiction was not a means for him to make the song a hit.
“The artistes had planned to release the song in the same week and maybe, I don’t know, they took advantage of the situation… It’s not for me to say but they released it without any communication with me. I only saw the video after it was released and it wasn’t about chasing power. So yes, it wasn’t about Kiki. That’s why I’m here to try and clarify the situation,” said Baha.
He revealed that he spoke to both Lexsil and Jovial after the song was released and they simply told him that the song had already been released and there was nothing they could do about it.
