As one of the country’s top stand-up comedians, Eunice ‘Mammito’ Njeri says her journey hasn’t always been all love, as she has attracted a fair share of hate from online bullies.
The witty comedian and actress, says cyberbullies have always trolled her for her body physique, particularly targeting her breasts and and neck.
“People have always made fun of my boobs for being saggy. But what’s wrong with that? Most women feel insecure about their boobs, I’m one person who doesn’t feel that way. It’s sad when I see women trying to change themselves to try to please other people just because they’ve been told they look a certain way when they even don’t know your journey. In my case, the reason I have sagging boobs is because I have lost so much weight, something I decided to do consciously. I have accepted myself for the way I am.” Says the comedian.
However, Mamitto warns that people should think twice before trying to roast (troll) her because she is built differently.
“The thing is, I was born a comedian, I am probably the hardest person to roast, the hardest person you could ever think of roasting. People need to do their research before they go after me. I mean I was born in the ghettos where mchongoano (roasting) was the order of the day growing up. So I’m very good at it (roasting) and that’s why trolls don’t get to me. I see them as just mere comments, they don’t mean anything and if I have to react, it will be in the most brutal way that might get to you.” she cautions.
However, for Mamitto trolling of her physique didn’t start with online bullies but long before she even became famous.
“For me, the trolling didn’t start in the online spaces, it started when I was still in school where students would troll my neck (I still see that today). So I trained myself to have comebacks, I trained to have comebacks. They wouldn’t roast me and get away with it,” she adds.
