Man commits suicide along busy Mahi Mahiu- Naivasha highway
Police in Mai Mahiu in Naivasha, Nakuru County are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found dangling on a tree beside the tarmac road.
Naivasha Sub County police commander Mr Samuel Waweru said the body which was removed from the scene and transported to the morgue was found with no identification.
“However, the officers investigating the matter have collected fingerprints for identification purposes and an inquest file has been opened as part of the ongoing investigations,” Mr. Waweru said.
He also said that investigations had already kicked off to ascertain whether the deceased was from the area.
Locals said that there was nobody who knew the deceased and wondered why he decided to commit suicide in the area.
Meanwhile, Police in Nairobi are now investigating the death of Walter Odhiambo Sala, whose body was found dumped by the road at Roasters area.
The body was discovered by members of the public, who informed traffic police officers.
“It was reported by the traffic control room that there is a dead body of a male adult at Garden Estate area along Roasters- Windsor Road. A team of officers led by the Sub County Criminal Investigating Officer (SCCIO) rushed to the scene,” the report read in part.
According to a police report, on the road, Mr Odhiambo’s body was found lying supine position – which means lying horizontally with the face and torso facing up.
He had a deep cut on the back of his head, and his trouser and shoes had traces of mud. Preliminary investigations suggest that unknown people dropped the body on the road.
Police found a wallet in his pocket containing three identity cards belonging to Beatrice Esther Atieno, Vitalis Sala Kisera, and Fransister Auma Sala.
So far nobody has been arrested in connection to the two deaths.
