Man, 70, found hanging in his house in Kasarani
A 70-year-old man was on Thursday night found dangling in his house in what police suspect to be suicide in Kasarani estate.
According to the police the man was found by neighbours.
Police broke the door and found him dangling by the neck on a rope, although there was no suicide not at the scene.
In Nyandarau county police are holding a 24-year-old man after he killed his 3-year-old niece before attacking his mother leaving her critically injured.
The father of one is said to have been under the influence of drugs when he executed the killing.
SHOT DEAD
Police said the man used a machete to commit the heinous act which also left the girl’s mother with deep cuts on the head after she tried saving the toddler.
After realising what he had done the suspect tried to commit suicide but the neighbours intervened and handed him over to the police.
His mother was is currently admitted at Nakuru General Provisional Hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a suspected criminal was on Thursday night shot dead in a botched robbery at Garissa Lodge in Eastleigh.
The deceased, who was in the company of two accomplices, were robbing a retail shop in the busy neighborhood.
Police recovered a pistol from the slain suspect while his accomplices escaped after they were confronted.
