Man jumps to his death from sixth floor of building in Githunguri
Police in Githunguri, Kiambu County, have initiated investigations into an incident where an unidentified man committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a building.
According to locals, on the evening of Friday, July 14, 2023, the man leaped from the sixth floor of Neema Apartments and tragically died on impact.
“We heard a loud thud and when we checked we saw the man lying on the ground dead,” Ms Mary Kimani, a local said.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear, with authorities, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives, working to ascertain what transpired.
In Kayole, Nairobi County, police are also investigating the disappearance of a two-year-old child named Chelsea Wangui.
She went missing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at approximately 6 pm in the Bidii Area.

The family reported that she was abducted by an unidentified person while playing with other children. Chelsea was last seen wearing a red sweater and yellow trousers.
The other children in the playground informed her mother that they saw her being picked by a stranger and it took long before she could return.
Meanwhile, in Huruma, a woman is set to appear in court on Monday for torturing her son following a dispute with her husband. The suspect was arrested by police officers on Thursday evening, July 13, 2023, after evading capture for several days.
In a disturbing video circulating on social media, the woman recorded herself physically assaulting the minor before sharing the footage with the father. The video sparked public outrage, leading to calls for the woman’s arrest.
Currently, the baby is under the care of a group of women residing in Huruma, Mathare Sub-County, Nairobi.
