Man shot in Kibera as police disperse protesters
Tension is high in Kibera after police shot a man on the left hand while dispersing anti-IEBC protesters.
The man, 24 year-old Shaban Abdulahi, was part of the group of protesters that had gathered at Kamukunji grounds to prepare to march to the city centre.
Mr Abdulahi, a footballer who plays for Kibera United, was shot by anti-riot police at around 11.30am.
He was taken to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital for treatment.
