A man was charged with stealing Sh40 cabbage and Twitter is furious
Twitter users were left fuming after a man was charged with stealing a cabbage worth just Sh40.
Robbert Kihara Ngumo appeared before facing charges of theft of farm produce contrary to section 8 of the Farm and Produce Act.
“…on 21st June 2017 at 1830hrs at Mercy Mission Hospital farm within Eldama Ravine in Koibatek sub county within Baringo county, stole one cabbage valued at Ksh 40 the property of Mercy Mission Hospital,” read the charge sheet.
The ridiculous charge was made public by Starehe patliamentary aspirant Boniface Mwangi on his Twitter account.
