Dr Mutua has in the past spoken fondly about his love and admiration for his parents, oftentimes narrating what their lives were like when they lived in poverty until the blessings began coming around. He often posts photos of him spending time with his mother.

In a recent post, Dr Mutua said his mother was a walking miracle who survived a snake bite after the reptile crept into her bed in the make shift structure they used to live in. Upon her recovery from the poisonous bite, Dr Mutua built his parents a home.

“By God’s grace, years later, I have built mum a house where those deadly reptiles of Ukambani cannot easily access. Above all, God healed her body and soul and sustained her for 100 years to see her great-grandchildren. Whenever I visit her in the village, and we are ‘beating’ stories about life, remembering that incident and many more, we marvel at God’s grace!,” Dr Mutua reminisced.
