Chandaria also explained he is not a fun of meat, insisting that his humble lifestyle is aimed at offering service to the community.
“If I were to live my life all over again, I would serve people more than I serve myself,”
The 89-year old added: “Be successful and be quiet about it. Be humble always, be ambitious and stay content. Life is not just you and your family, always be available to extend a hand.”
Chandaria’s interview immediately drew mixed reactions from Kenyans on social media.

One day I will question the honesty of Manu Chandaria. All universities he claims to sponsor get measly support from his companies then they are forced to buy exclusively from his companies. It’s a smart way of corrupting his way up the ladder of philanthropy. @KoinangeJeff #JKL
