Meet Kenya’s best hairstylist
Elizabeth Ngote is the winner of the second edition of the Hair Expo that was held at the Prestige Plaza, Exhibition Hall, along Ngong Road on Saturday.
Ms Ngote beat 80 hairdressers in different categories. A new category; the fantasy in creativity, was added to the competition that saw only four; Cut and Style, Battle of the Barbers, Bridal, Weaving and Fantasy contested for in the first competition.
Five winners, from each category were awarded the Golden Combs award while the overall winner went home with a fully paid expenses trip to the 20th edition of the Beauty World Expo in Dubai.
Ms Ngote, who has been in the beauty industry for ten years, also won in the Weaving category and was given a cheque of Sh150,000.
She attributed her success to hard work, having an open mind and her mentor, Jayne of Rapunzel.
Others winners included Zachary Mwaniki , John Mwangi, Elizabeth Ngote, James Ngare and Vincent Maguti.
