The wedding is scheduled for October 3, and fans are eagerly anticipating the celebration of this new chapter in Zari’s life.
Social media has been buzzing with mixed reactions to the news, with many expressing their congratulations and best wishes to the couple.
Meanwhile, as family and friends converge in South Africa for the wedding, Shakib shared with his followers photos of his youthful mother.
In a touching gesture of love and appreciation, Shakib introduced his biological mother to the public for the first time.
The 31-year-old Ugandan businessman took to social media to celebrate his parent, marking the occasion with heartfelt messages and beautiful pictures.
On Saturday, September 31, Shakib posted a series of heartwarming images featuring himself alongside his mother, punctuating the post with heart emojis — a universal symbol of love.

He also shared an audio clip wherein a man’s voice could be heard expressing gratitude and admiration for his mother’s exceptional parenting.
“Sio kosa lako Ma. Umelea mtoto mzuri sana. Ulimwengu uliniangamiza tu na kunigeuza kuwa mtu asiye na maana (It’s not your fault, Mom. You raised a very good child. The world just led me astray and turned me into someone without purpose),” affirmed the voice in the audio, which Shakib thoughtfully paired with the images of himself and his beloved mother.
Shakib, born in Kampala, Uganda, in December 1992, later relocated to South Africa, where he built his career. Details about his family, personal history, and background have remained largely undisclosed.
Zari, on the other hand, hails from Uganda and was born in the town of Jinja to Ugandan parents Nasur and Halima Hassan. Her unique heritage includes an Indian maternal grandfather and Ugandan grandmother, which may explain her distinctive fair complexion.
The love story between Zari and Shakib unfolded in South Africa, where they met several years ago. The couple then tied the knot in a private Nikah ceremony in Pretoria, South Africa, on April 16.
They shared photos and videos from their Islamic wedding on Snapchat, and some of Zari’s close relatives were in attendance to witness the joyous occasion.
Dressed in traditional Islamic attire, the couple exchanged rings, and the images of their rings were shared on social media.
