‘Men’s Conference chairman’ Stephen Letoo responds to Akothee’s heartbreak
Popular songbird Esther Akoth, famously known as Akothee, continues to capture the attention of various celebrities, including renowned journalists, following her recent announcement of her separation from her husband, Denis Schweizer.
One such celebrity is Stephen Letoo, a media personality and self-proclaimed President of the Men’s Conference.
Through his official Facebook page on Friday, October 6, 2023, he announced the appointment of the musician’s ex-husband as the “Secretary-General of Diaspora Affairs”.
He stated that he made this move exercising the powers vested in him as the Men’s Conference boss.
“MEN CABINET CHANGES: With the powers conferred upon me as the President of the Men’s Conference, under Section 2A, I hereby make the following changes. 1. Mr Denis Schweizer (Omosh) is hereby appointed as Secretary-General, Diaspora Affairs,” wrote the Citizen TV political affairs reporter.
Akothee had been married to Schweizer, whom she famously referred to as ‘Omosh’.
Letoo also attached a photo of the estranged ‘Give It To Me’ hitmaker’s husband, riding a horse.
Apparently, the photo was taken during Akothee’s lavish wedding in April 2023 with the Swiss national.
“The current holder of the said office is hereby recalled to Nairobi, Kenya. More Changes to Follow…!” further reads the hilarious journalist’s post, which has since sparked online amusement.
Letoo declared himself as the President of the Men’s Conference earlier in 2023 during an event he organized.
Since then, he has been addressing matters related to men, offering advice, guidance, and counseling.
Akothee recently announced her separation from her husband for undisclosed reasons, which she promised to reveal at a later date.
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, she shared on her official Facebook page that she is in the process of recovering from trauma.
She wrote, “Allow me to thank everyone who prayed for me in silence, everyone who walked me through this journey. I have come out from a very dangerous zone, and I have been healing in private.”
“I am in my second month of therapy, dealing with the trauma I experienced after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff that left me shaking,” informed the singer.
