Miguna mocked online for IEBC clearance goof
Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna was on Thursday the subject of hilarious comments from Kenyans on Twitter after failure to get clearance from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
According to the IEBC, Miguna was denied clearance due to a technicality, including presenting the 2,000 signatures of his supporters in the wrong format.
Mr Joseph Mele, the IIEBC Nairobi County Returning Officer, said that they only accept signatures in excel format, not JPEG the format which Miguna presented.
Miguna has until Friday to correct the anomaly and present his papers to the IEBC.
However, the online community was quick to give their two cents on the matter.
Miguna Miguna with that English intelligence can’t follow simple instructions like presenting signatures in Excel format instead of jpeg! pic.twitter.com/jvYkStpKnC
