Miguna now ‘exposes’ Raila’s game plan

Lawyer Dr Miguna Miguna has sharply criticized Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition leadership for failing to acknowledge President William Ruto’s government.

Dr Miguna has also claimed that Azimio leader Mr Raila Odinga and former Head of State Uhuru Kenyatta are out to provoke President Ruto with their rallies across the country.

“Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta want to goad President William Ruto into a public duel. They want to attract sympathy,” Dr Miguna said.

This comes just days after Mr Kenyatta and Mr Odinga toured Kisumu and Vihiga, where the former head of state insisted that he still recognizes Mr Odinga as his leader.

Regarding the ongoing campaigns by Mr Odinga, Dr Miguna has said the Azimio rallies should not be interfered with.

“The government should not ban or interfere with their rallies. Instead, let the progressive forces face and counter them peacefully on all fora.”

Mr Odinga has repeatedly claimed that former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati subverted the will of the people by declaring President Ruto the winner in last year’s presidential election.

The ODM leader has maintained that he won the election with more than two million votes. He also claims some IEBC commissioners colluded with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders to deny him victory.

President Ruto has since dismissed the Azimio protest, saying that he is working to deliver his promises to all Kenyans, irrespective of who they voted for.
