Milele FM presenter Anita Santuri explains son’s unique health condition

Milele FM radio presenter Anita Santuri has hit out at an online fan for making an insensitive comment about her son.

According to Anita, the fan asked whether her son (Jude) was mentally challenged due to how he appeared when he laughed.

The coast-based radio presenter responded by saying that her son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy a few months after his birth. This resulted to him having a different physical appearance to other children his age.

“So pale Facebook someone asked if my son ni mwenda wazimu because of how he laughs. Let me explain because I took it like he did not have information or he/she was just being a bully which is okay. Jude was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and microcephaly few months after birth. Due to this his head is smaller than normal, he has delayed milestone and get convulsions but everything else is normal as other kids,” Anita Santuri said.

Despite her son being different, she says that she will not hide him because of bullies or people who are not comfortable seeing people like him.

“He expresses emotions, he has the best and contagious laughs, yes requires more care than anyone else in my house… If he decides hakuna mtu analala Kwa nyumba that will happen 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so no Jude sio mwendawazimu kabisa he just expresses his happines differently. I wish people could be a little bit kind Tu. I will not hide Jude coz of bullies or people who are not comfortable seeing people like him. He is ours and let’s all embrace people who are different,” she said.

Anita welcomed her son in 2017. In 2021 she welcomed her daughter Rumi.
