Millie Odhiambo’s rant divides opinion among KOT
Kenyans on Twitter have expressed mixed reactions over Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo’s outburst at parliament on Tuesday morning.
In a video that has now gone viral, Ms Odhiambo was captured on camera verbally insulting president Uhuru Kenyatta in a fit of rage.
The MP was protesting over intimidation by police at parliament claiming that she was forced to walk barefooted to parliament for a special sitting to debate over the laws and regulations that will guide next year’s General Election.
Netizens were however divided with some applauding the MP for her braveness while others criticizing her for going overboard by insulting the president.
Below are some of the views from KOT.
“Millie Odhiambo” freedom of expression does not include insulting the president. That’s treason.Dignified women hold their tongues always.

Millie Odhiambo, called a spade a spade, but not a big spoon. Unfortunately Kenyans hate the truth. #KenyaUnderSiege

My honest opinion Hon. Millie Odhiambo went overboard. Why insults? Right of expression does not cover insults…. https://t.co/Sq3CJJtmP9
