Mko na ushamba! Vera Sidika defends putting hair extensions on daughter for photoshoot
Infamous socialite and upcoming rapper Vera Sidika took to Instagram on October 20, 2022, to defend herself for having hair extensions on her one-year-old daughter, Asia Brown, during the toddler’s birthday photo shoot.

Vera had on the same hair extensions that her detractors said are normally a preserve for older females compared to little girls.
The long extensions appeared complicated to add to hair and seemed heavy for a child to have them on.
“Lakini ushamba ni mbaya (Being backward is a bad thing). People who experiment on different hairstyles will tell you how light Marley Braids are.
As light as a feather, and with how I treasure my child, there’s no way I would ever put anything harmful or heavy on her.
So before you, all judge, sit down and think, then do some research. The concept was a mommy-daughter shoot.
We had to have a similar look that fits best with what we chose.
For 1-2 hours and the extensions were off her head. But hey! People are always quick with negative vibes. As if a mom didn’t give birth to that child doesn’t know best,” defended Sidika.

Vera and her boyfriend, singer Brown Mauzo, began celebrating Asia’s birthday at the Under the Sea theme park in Village Market, Nairobi.
They made sure to upload several videos of Asia attempting to play on social media for everyone to see.

The duo is also set to host a castle birthday party for the child on October 22, 2022.
“My mom has this tradition: On all birthdays since I was a little girl, she wakes me up singing happy birthday. She’s always the first to do it and I’ve always remembered this for many years.
I’ll be doing the same for my girl, so I started today,” added Sidika.

Asia’s conception surprised Kenyans because Vera has always been about showing off a slim-thick body, partying and jetting around the world- symptoms of someone who never intended to settle down.
However, she first shocked people when she announced that she and Mauzo were dating and got engaged, and this was followed by news of a pregnancy.
Many didn’t expect that it would be Mauzo as Sidika was infamous for dating West African men and hanging out around Caucasians as well.
