Mobile phones may cause erectile dysfunction – study

Men who often carry mobile phones are likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED).

A new study has linked a switch on mobile phone to cases of erectile dysfunction.

Medical teams in Austria and Egypt found a positive correlation between carrying a switched on phone and ED.

The study was published in the Central European Journal of Urology.

The study had a group of 20 men who had complained of ED for at least six months, as well as another group of 10 healthy men with no history of ED

All men completed questionnaires designed to assess their mobile phone usage.

Men suffering from ED carried their switched-on mobiles for an average of 4.4 hours a day while those without any problems carried them for just 1.8 hours.
