Mombasa residents seeking answers from county government over flooded streets
The county government of Mombasa is under fresh attacks from its locals over flooding of streets occasioned by heavy rains being experienced in parts of the country.
Residents took to social media to express their anger on the poor drainage system in Mombasa that is causing floods in residential areas, blaming the county government for “misplaced priorities”.
Most of them are concerned by the subsequent health hazard, especially since garbage has been washed to the roadsides.
A few days ago the public vented their frustrations on the uncleanliness of the coastal city by sharing pictures showing piles of garbage that had been disposed by the roadsides.
