Moses Kuria might just have nailed ‘tweet of the year’
Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has left many Kenyans on social media in stitches with an ingenious tweet, which could perhaps go down as the ‘tweet of the year’.
Kuria posted the witty tweet while responding to former Minister for Justice Martha Karua, who fired a salvo at him while defending her track record during her parliamentary stint as the MP for Gichugu Constituency.
It all began when a tweep, by the user name @Thurfist, blasted Ms Karua for not developing her constituency during her parliamentary tenure.
I’m at Kianyaga in Gichugu former @MarthaKarua s constituency. I wonder what she did for the people the many years she was M.P pic.twitter.com/SaruUs0m6i

To this, Ms Karua responded by unwittingly dragging Gatundu South’s political leadership into the debate.
Show me one single constituency in rural Kenya without these dusty little shopping centers including gatundu https://t.co/oZsGAVIHpf

Never the one to shy away from online banter, Mr Kuria responded with a clever corruption of Tina Turner’s 1984 hit What’s Love Got To Do With It.
“Why pick on Gatundu? Why does everyone pick on Gatundu? Even Tina Turner “What’s love Gatundu, Gatundu with it?” he tweeted in Karua’s post.

Kenyans on Twitter were clearly thrilled by the controversial law maker’s witty charm. Here are some of their comments:
We this is on another level… but we all know you loved Tina during your days…
