MP Alfred Keter arrested at Central Bank over ‘Sh633m forged treasury bills’
Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter was on Friday morning arrested at Central Bank of Kenya headquarters in Nairobi.
The vocal MP was arrested for presenting forged treasury bills worth sh633 million.
Also arrested were his two accomplices, Arthur Ingolo Sakwa and Madat Suburali Chatur.
“The forged treasury bills were presented today and had purportedly been issued by Central Bank in the 1990’s,” CBK spokesperson Wallace Kantai told journalists moments after the arrest.
