MP made to sweat by in-laws at bride price ceremony

Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura had the tough task of identifying his fiancée from a line-up of heavily covered women during a traditional bride price ceremony in Embu.

Despite his stature, the MP was not exempted from the tradition of identifying the love of his life while fully covered in lessos from head to toe.

His fiancée Nelius Rwamba was paraded at the ceremony in a group of other relatives of similar physique and the MP ordered to identify her.

The MP did not fail in the tough task and was able to identify Nelius amid cheers.

The lovebirds were clad in matching African print outfits and were joined by politicians at the ceremony including nominated Senator Daisy Kanainza.

Mr Mwaura proposed to his then girlfriend on February 7 during a public event.

He was nominated by ODM to represent special interest groups in parliament.
