‘Mr Moneybags’ walks scot-free after assaulting two women at a party
Police in Nairobi are yet to arrest a man who assaulted two women at a private Boxing Day party in the upmarket Riara suburb.
The man, name withheld, had overindulged in his tipple and was requested by the management of the establishment to leave.
On his way out, he began hurling insults at other patrons and bragged of his ‘immense wealth and connections’.
“I am rich, I study and live in Copenhagen. You all can’t do shi* about nothing…,” he taunted other patrons.
He then pounced on one woman, a 23 year old young mother, punching her so hard on the face that she collapsed. When the second lady tried to intervene, he threw her on the floor and punched her.
The the first woman was later admitted at a hospital, while the second is still bedridden in the house.
The two assault cases were reported at Milimani police station under OB/26/12/2015. No action has however been taken against the man who has since been boasting of his powerful friends and affluent connections.
