Nairobi Business Community ready to back Azimio candidate

Members of Nairobi Business Community have urged residents of the capital to elect a leader with the capacity to bring friendly business environment for traders in the city.

In an address to the media, Wilfred Kamau who chairs the committee, noted that the business community is tired of electing ‘comedians’ as governors.

“Nairobi is the capital It needs a governor who will work with investors. We are tired of choosing leaders who impose high charges on business personnel within the city,” he said.

Kamau also urged the next governor to develop and make changes to sectors such as health care, waste management, education, housing, transport and security.

“Traffic snarl in Nairobi affects our businesses greatly. We will support aspirants who will convince us that they have the capacity to solve these challenges. We are part of Jubilee and are ready to team up with Azimio la Umoja.”

Westlands lawmaker Tim Wanyonyi and Richard Ngatia are considered favourites to bag the gubernatorial ticket under the Azimio banner.
