Nairobi man found dead inside lodging


Police in Nairobi are investigating a case in which a 40-year-old man was found dead inside a lodging in Eastleigh.

The man identified as Mr Mamo Odha had checked himself into the lodging on Sunday, March 7, 2023, located along second avenue but never woke up.

It is then that the staff at the lodging tried knocking on the door of his room but the man did not respond.

Police officers who are arrived at the scene found some tablets which had been stashed in a dustbin in the room.

According to the police, there were no visible injuries on the body of the deceased.

A day earlier, the body of a woman was found inside a lodging in Kiambu County.

The body of Ms Elizabeth Wangui Mbugua, 23, was found inside the lodging hours after another man had booked the room.

A month ago, a 71-year-old man died in a lodging while in the company of a 22-year-old woman in Parklands, Nairobi County.

Police said the man booked the room but moments later he started gasping for air as he called for help.

The deceased man’s female companion said he started complaining of severe chest and back pains.

The man was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
