What Nairobians have to say about Sonko’s improved ranking in service delivery


Nairobi’s Governor Mike Sonko’s popularity appears to be growing, especially now that he has been ranked as the best improved governor according to a survey done by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA).

According to the survey, Mr Sonko has excelled from an average score of 44 percent D+ early this year to a 51 percent C plain this year.

Key areas that Nairobians believed that he had shown improvement include street lighting, public health services, access to clean water and keeping the county clean.

MIXED REACTIONS

This news was met with mixed reactions from Kenyans on Twitter, however a majority congratulated him on a job well done.

“You have done well but I wonder how you haven’t seen how streets inside town looks like for example Mfangano Street, it’s really in a bad state. Work on the streets of downtown na tutakutii,” tweeted @artbykiki77.

“He has the qualities of a dedicated leader who is always out to deliver,” said @OngeriBoniface.

TRANSFORMING THE CITY

“The way he has fenced around flowers if the same effort was used to protect public funds Kenya would be a great country… congratulations ata English tunaona ako sawa,” wrote @bmkenya.

“I think now all governors should do away with their deputies and work independently,” commented @pireiJnr.

“Ame improve aje???? Kwa kupanda nyasi na kupaka barabara rangi?” asked @Henrike047.

“We are finally taking the right direction towards transforming the city thanks to Hon @MikeSonko And his team for the good job being done,” stated @Collins_coloh.
