Naivasha love triangle leads to truck driver’s painful death
A truck driver was found dead moments after fighting with a man over a love triangle
The truck driver was on Sunday, December 11, 2022, found dead moments after he fought with a man who he found in a compromising situation with his wife inside a local bar.
Naivasha Sub County police boss Mr Samuel Waweru said that the body of the deceased was found off the Naivasha- Longonot road.
“The body of the deceased was collected and taken to the area mortuary and we have opened an inquest file following the bizarre incident,” Mr Waweru said.
He said that the man was found dead while his victims who he had engaged in a fight with earlier in the day were fighting for their lives in a local private hospital.
Already, police are planning to grill the duo and record a statement in relation to the fight and the death of the truck driver.
“We shall be investigating the matter and get to the bottom of what transpired and how the truck driver died,” said Mr Waweru.
Police say that the suspect had met his wife with a man inside a bar when a confrontation started leading to an ugly exchange that eventually got physical.
Despite efforts to stop them from fighting, the altercation escalated into a full-on brawl where the deceased even bit off the lower lips of the suspect.
Mr Waweru said that already sleuths attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were investigating whether the suspect was trailed and beaten up by some people or died of injuries sustained during the fight.
“The only people who will shed more light on this matter are the woman and man who have been admitted to the hospital. DCI sleuths are also interested to know who are the people who were at the scene when they were fighting,” he said.
