Naked body of missing caretaker found in his bathroom in Donholm
Police have launched investigations into an incident in which a caretaker who had been missing for days was found nude in his bathroom in Donholm, Nairobi.
Munywoki Mwenda had not been picking up his calls for two days prompting his cousin to go check on him at his house on May 2, 2023.
Police said it was then he noticed his door was open and on checking he found him in the bathroom.
According to the police, the deceased was found nude, in a sitting position but leaning on the wall with no visible injuries.
It is suspected he collapsed and died in the bathroom.
“There is also a possibility he was killed,” police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy to establish the cause of the death.
And in Mukuru slums, the body of a man was found on the roadside. Police said they are yet to identify him.
In the Kamukunji area, the body of a known mechanic was found lying at the entrance of Muoroto police post.
The cause of the death is yet to be known.
Both bodies were moved to the mortuary pending autopsy, police said.
Last week, the body of a man was found in his house in Nga’ndo area in Dagoretti South Constituency, Nairobi.
27-year-old Aaron Moenga was last seen on Saturday only to be found dead in his bed by his niece Janet Moraa.
“We found his door locked from the inside and had to peep through the window. We tried calling him but he did not respond. We broke into the house and found him dead,” Moraa told police.
Riruta Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Sarah Kimusar said they are probing the matter.
The body of the deceased has been moved to City Mortuary ahead of postmortem.
