Nana Gecaga honours admirer’s wish for lunch date
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s niece Nana Gecaga on Thursday granted the wish of an Instagram admirer by agreeing to have lunch.
Instagram user Belinda had responded to Keroche heiress’ Anerlisa Muigai’s question on which ladies Kenyans admire and would love to meet.
Users went on to name the likes of DJ pierra Makena, who only commented with a thanks note, TV anchor Betty Kyallo, Marini’s Michelle Ntalami, Fanaka TV CEO Terryanne Chebet, Radio Africa’s Grace Msalame, Capital’s Amina Abdi, musicians Akothee, Avril, actress Catherine Kamau and other celebrities.
Most of those tagged did not respond save for Kenyatta International Conference Centre chief executive Nana Gecaga who offered to have lunch with Belinda.
Belinda had poured out her admiration for Nana writing; “I’d love to meet @nanawanjikugecaga don’t i just love how down to earth and intelligent she is??watching her on Churchill show the other day was quite inspiring..ooh and she’s my name sake too??…Meeting her over lunch would be a dream come true for me..I mean I’d address the nation in the next 24hours?…..Hey @nanawanjikugecaga you inspire this girl here so much..If you ever read this (I pray that someday you will)please give me the pleasure of just sitting and listening to you…I admire you lots❤.”
Nana responded, “@_its_belinda hey how are you dear…. Thursday 7th june please come to kicc at 12noon I’ve blocked off lunch for us from 12 till 1:30pm hope that’s ok…. can’t wait have a great weekend ??.”
Belinda could not hide her excitement as she confirmed the date, “??? she replied?????see God…See God…How can’t it be okay????Ofcourse it is okay…yes yes it is okay…I can’t wait as well…Have a great one too and God bless you ???.”
