Narok Senator Ledama Olekina suggests President William Ruto is a good planner and a smart man who is likely to defeat the opposition in the 2027 general elections.

In a series of tweets, the outspoken politician acknowledged the Head of State brilliance as a political strategist.

Olekina gave a warning to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition to be on the lookout if it really wants to win the 2027 General Election.

Promises Ruto has struggled to keep in his first 100 days

“The painful truth is that Ruto sees things four steps ahead of us – referring to Azimio,” said Olekina.

“He is outsmarting us in every move and if we are to win the next election we must change the plan,” added Olekina.

He even suggested that Ruto has made his 2027 plans.

“The IEBC law changed by February 24th and a completely new team that knows nothing about the last election was appointed and the cards are aligned for the new game 2027,” he wrote.

In the campaigns ahead of the August 2022 polls, President Ruto packaged himself as a hustler keen on improving the livelihoods of the common business people.

He also gifted  wheelbarrows, handcarts and water tanks as start ups to business people.

President Ruto further promoted his “bottom-up” approach to the economy, saying it is the only way the poor will benefit, especially the youth, who are bearing the brunt of the downturn largely triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

The next election is set for 2027 and politicians have commenced positioning themselves.

Seasoned politician Raila Odinga, Ruto’s main competitor in the August 2022 polls, is yet to declare whether he will vie for the top seat or not.
