Ngina accompanied Uhuru to France and Twitter can’t cope

First Daughter Ngina Kenyatta is in the news again.

Barely a week after she was criticized for wearing skinny jeans to welcome Pope Francis last Wednesday, questions are being asked why Ngina, daughter of President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret, accompanied the President to a high profile meeting on climate change that was held at Le Bourget in Paris , France.

Kenya has sent a large delegation to the meeting in France against reports of austerity measures ordered by the National Treasury, as the it battles to plug budget deficit.

Pictures of Ngina inside the conference hall were posted on the president’s official Twitter handle (@UKenyatta) under the caption: “Attending #COP21 meeting with Environment CS @JudiWakhungu at Le Bourget in Paris , France.”

Some Kenyans on Twitter started asking questions.

Jacob Juma (‏@kabetes) posed: “When did Ngina, Uhuru’s daughter become Kenya gov’t official and consultant in climate issues? Wastage of our taxes.”

Eric ‏(@amerix ) added: “@CollinceBey I didn’t know that Ngina is an environmentalist” while Victoria Odipo (‏@vickyodipo ) said, “Grooming Ngina to be a government official??? Kenya is broke.”

However, some backed the First Family.

JudyAlyce King’ (‏@JudyAlyceKing ) wondered: “@kabetes @LeonLidigu is she less of a human being to represent the country just because she is the President’s daughter???” while Mcben G Muriithi (‏@GBmuriithi ) quipped: “@kabetes @LeonLidigu boss Kwani wewe hulipa tax Ngapi urudishiwe? Unasahau her grandfather is in the money in your pocket if u have any.”
