Njugush lauds wife after successful ‘Thick and Thin’ event

Renowned Kenyan comedian Timothy Kimani Ndegwa, popularly known as Njugush, has shared his overwhelming joy and gratitude following the resounding success of his “Thick and Thin” show at the KICC’s Tsavo Ball Room in Nairobi.

In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Njugush expressed his astonishment at the incredible reception his show received.

“I never anticipated the show would sell out so quickly. Celestine Wakavinya, my wife, took charge of all the organizing and made it a phenomenal success,” said Njugush.

Despite not being involved in the logistical aspects, Njugush was elated to witness the overflowing turnout, which he saw as a testament to Kenyans’ unwavering support for local talent.

He chose to trust in the expertise of his wife and knew that the show would be a triumph, even after learning about a major event featuring reggae artist Richie Spice scheduled for the same day.

“On that day, Kenyans showed me love. I realized that indeed, Kenyans support their content creators,” Njugush gratefully acknowledged, humbled by the overwhelming response from his fans.

The “Thick and Thin” show, initially planned for February 2023 but postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, exceeded all expectations.

Notable personalities such as YY Comedian, Eddie Butita, Mulamwah, and many others graced the occasion, adding to the excitement and ensuring a memorable night for all in attendance.

Renowned international reggae artist Richie Spice, who has a huge fan base in Kenya, also had a show in the same venue on May 27,2023.

There was also another significant event taking place at the same time.

Despite various setbacks, Njugush and Celestine’s unwavering determination prevailed, resulting in a highly successful show that left a lasting impression on the audience.

Njugush’s “Thick and Thin” show not only showcased his comedic talent but also demonstrated the immense support and enthusiasm of Kenyan audiences.
