Others values are continued improvement and innovation, drive for performance and making the company the employer of choice.
During the unveiling ceremony on Saturday at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, the company CEO Joe Muganda led the staff in a team building exercise involving several sporting activities.
CHALLENGES
Mr Muganda said the company has experienced several challenges in the past 18 months but said that the company is striving to tailor its products to meet the expectations of the consumer.
“We have the ability to ensure that the new values work for the best of our company. We want to produce products that our consumers will love,” he said.
The CEO also welcomed ideas from the staff that can make the company meet its objectives saying that there is no department that has monopoly of ideas.
According to the NMG human resource department, the event was also intended to unify staff from all departments.
TEAM BUILDING
Human resource manager David Kiambi urged the staff to embrace the values and carry them into the future adding that it is the only way to ensure the company achieves its objectives.
During the team building exercise the staff were taken through each of the new values and were assisted to understand and contextualize each of them.
Most of their question were answered and the trainers steered them towards what the company expects from each of them.
The staff applauded the event as having being educative, informative and entertaining. It also enabled them to get to know their colleagues from other parts of the country.
The winning teams during the daylong exercise were given an opportunity to entertain the staff in the evening event.
