No crown for Kenya’s Miss World

The Miss World competitions took place on Saturday at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre in Indonesia.

The event attracted hundreds of guests who went to witness each beauty queen battle it out for a chance to be crowned Miss World 2013.

The young women were judged in many categories including individual talent and etiquette.

The current Miss World Kenya, Wangoi Gitonga, unfortunately did not make it to the semi finals.

However, the African flag was carried by Miss World Ghana who made it through to the semis.

Miss Philippines, Megan Young, was crowned the Miss World 2013 giving her country its first Miss World title since the competition’s debut in 1966.
