By VINCENT OPIYO November 20th, 2018 1 min read

“No pay, no camp” is the new mantra by Gor Mahia players who are protesting over unpaid salaries for the month of October.

The record Kenyan champions, who have a wage bill of about Sh5.5 million, have not paid its staff, 15 days after the fifth deadline.

The players have now vowed not to report to camp on Tuesday until their salaries are settled.

EMPTY PROMISES

“We are not going anywhere without our salaries,” warned one of the player who sought anonymity.

“The management has been giving us empty promises since we came back from Everton,” added another.

TRAINING BOYCOTTS

The team was due to travel to Nakuru County on Tuesday for a four-day preseason camp ahead of their Caf Champions League first round first leg clash against Malawi champions Nyasa Bullets set for Wednesday next week.

This is the latest of sit-ins and training boycotts which have dogged K’Ogalo since the latter stages of last season when they claimed a record extending 17th league title.
