Many Kenyans are yet to wrap their minds around it.

“Will I buy a plot (piece of land) or a bottle of whiskey?” posed Bob Mugendi on Facebook, while Monica Akinyi said “that is the price of a (Toyota) Vitz”.

The Nairobi News reached out to Alfred Ng’ang’a, Nakumatt’s publicist and he confirmed that indeed Nakumatt is selling a bottle of whiskey for Sh452,100 –but in Tanzania!

For starters, one Kenyan shilling buys you around 20 tanzanian shillings.

Therefore, the price of the whiskey in Kenyan currency is Sh22,605.
