Nondies and Impala set for friendly

By BRIAN WASUNA January 31st, 2014 1 min read

Nondescripts and Impala Saracens will this weekend play a friendly match at the Impala Grounds in preparation for the Enterprise Cup.

The Kenya Cup takes a break with all teams having only three fixtures left on the cards. The battle for the four play-off slots is intense as the top six teams are all in contention.

League leaders Nakuru and second-placed KCB have all but secured their places and the remaining two are being contested by Strathmore, Kenya Harlequins, Homeboyz and Nondies. Kisumu and Eldoret cannot escape relegation.

The break was supposed to give way to the Thika 10-a-side tournament, which was postponed in November last year.

The organisers have, however, backed out of the tournament citing lack of funds. Kenya Rugby Union had initially cancelled the break, but reinstated it on Wednesday for teams to get  a brief rest before the final battle.
