Sonko now claims his life is in danger

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko claims that his life is in danger following what he has only termed as prevailing political events.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Sonko also dared those he claimed were after his life to “try it at their own risk.”

“Politics is dirty. Kuna cowards wanachora kuuwa wengine (There are cowards plotting to kill others). With wht is on going I will not take chances anymore try me at your own risk,” Sonko wrote.

Sonko’s claims comes in the wake of the murder of one of his bodyguards by unknown assailants.

SHOT DEAD

Constable Bakari Tsuma Joto was shot dead by a four-man gang on March 05, 2016 while walking home with his wife in Sunton, Kasarani in Nairobi.

During the incident, the gunmen made away with the officer’s official firearm. Mr Tsuma was buried in Kwale County three days later.

Early this week, Sonko, who was recently named as the worst performing senator, put up several billboards requesting Kenyans to register as voters in readiness for next year’s general elections, while at the same time announcing his intention to become Nairobi’s next governor.
