NPS to investigate lacklustre police response to attempted carjacking report
The National Police Service (NPS) has promised to investigate a case of alleged lacklustre police response to a report on attempted carjacking incident along Kiambu Road on Saturday night.
The incident was reported on social media by a popular page of Facebook, Crime Watch Nairobi, where an unidentified motorist claimed to have been accosted by two boda bodas, each carrying one pillion passenger.
The motorist claims that he managed to push both motorcycles from the road and drove with a flat tyre after one of the thugs shot at it.
But when he reported to police officers manning a road block down the road, the response was rather startling.
“All they said is that it’s very dangerous to drive on Kiambu road past 11pm,” reads the post in part.
