NTV Uganda journalist dies in road accident
NTV Uganda has lost on its journalists to a road accident. According to the Monitor newspaper, Edward Muhumuza died after the car he was driving was involved in an accident along Entebbe Expressway on Saturday morning.
The Monitor quoted an eyewitness who said the incident happened after the deceased lost control of his vehicle around 7am a few metres after the Mpala UNRA toll gate as he was driving from Kampala towards Entebbe side.

“He veered off the road, the car jumped over the trench, flew into the sky and hit the huge signpost before rolling off the steep,” the eyewitness said.
According to his colleagues, Muhumuza was driving to Nkumba University where he was pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Journalism and Public Relations.

A close friend of the deceased said he was going to the university after spending the better part of the night working on a coursework assignment.
Mr Muhumuza’s body has been taken to City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem.
