Nyamweya swaps ‘old’ Landcruiser for Sh 6m Bimmer


Football Kenya Federation President Sam Nyamweya has acquired a sleek BMW estimated to be worth Sh 6 million, Nairobi News has established.

According to sources close to the deep-pocketed football administrator, Nyamweya traded in his Landcruiser V8 and topped it up with some Sh 3.5 million to acquire his new ride.

Nyamweya is estimated to control upto Sh 250 million annually from Fifa, Government funding and sponsorship deals for the national team.

With the football elections looming, Nyamweya, who divides opinion on local football down the middle, is considered the front runner to win next month’s FKF elections for a second term as the President.

Several aspirants, including Nick Mwendwa, Ambrose Rachier, Gor Semelang’o, Tom Alila and Sammy Shollei, have expressed their intentions of challenging Nyamweya for Kenyan football’s top job in the November 13 polls.
