ODM delegates to endorse Raila as flag bearer at Kasarani
The much-awaited Orange Democratic Movement national delegates convention takes place today at the Kasarani gymnasium where Raila Odinga will be endorsed as the party’s presidential candidate.
A source attending the preparations meeting and privy to he ongoings said that the five principals are expected to attend the convention in addition to over 500 political leaders from across the country.
“We are expecting to host over 4,000 people in this convention. The five principals will be present to witness the crowning of Raila as ODM party presidential candidate and also to a larger extent as a Nasa flag bearer,” said the source, who sought anonymity as he is not allowed to talk to the media.
The meeting is set to host 3, 800 party delegates, elected ODM party leaders and other dignitaries.
Present at the preparations meeting were ODM executive director Oduor Ong’wen, Raila Junior, Winnie Odinga, director of communications Philip Etale and a team of over 20 people.
