Otile Brown’s video director, Deska Torres, in baby mama drama with prison warden
A shocking incident unfolded in the vibrant neighborhood of Kahawa West, a Nairobi suburb, as acclaimed music video director Destin Kaleba, popularly recognised as Deska Torres, has come forward with allegations of a physical assault by a former family friend who happens to be a prison warden at Kamiti Prison.
Deska has produced and directed numerous music videos for popular icons like Otile Brown, General Defao, Iyanii, and Prezzo.
According to reports filed with the Kahawa West Police Station under OB number 04/13/10/2023, the altercation between Deska and the accused, Jackson Kuria, turned violent, leading to severe injuries.
The dispute erupted when Jackson accused Destin of being romantically involved with his ex-partner, whom he shares a child with.
Deska shared his harrowing experience, stating, “He kicked the door, stormed in, and accused me of sleeping with his baby mama. He started attacking me, and when I tried to defend myself, he bit my nose and ear. Fortunately, neighbors intervened, allowing me to escape from the house. It was only then that I realised my car’s tires had been deflated. Later, when I returned for my belongings, I found my Mac Book Pro M2, Tecno Spark Go phone, and three hard disks smashed.”
The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, as both parties have been known to be on amicable terms in the past.
The authorities are currently investigating the matter, and the local community is eagerly awaiting further developments.
This, however, is not the first time the cinematographer has been involved in a life-threatening incident.
Just last year, the father of one was involved in a hit-and-run situation with an armed man who disguised himself as a DCI officer for 10 years.

As the talented director was on his way to drop off singer Yung Koded at his place along Embakasi near Fedha at midnight, a drunk driver hit his car and drove off.
They instantly launched a chase where Torres drove fast towards the culprit and blocked his way, all while Yung Koded broadcasted the night’s encounter on his Instagram.
Unshaken, the drunk driver threatened Torres and Koded at gunpoint after realizing he was being recorded and demanded that Torres and Koded let him go or else he would fire at them. That was when they conceded defeat and let him drive away.
They later opted to go and report the incident to the Embakasi police station, where they were accorded the OB number 07/06/02/2022, and the matter was left to the authorities.
