P-Unit unleash new collabo with Yemi Alade

Kenyan music group P-Unit have released a new track titled “Different” that features Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade.

The music group that was rumored to be in the verge of a breakup has released the track two months after “Weka Weka”.

The new track is a blend of Genge and afro-beat in an effort to marry music styles from East and West Africa.

It has been produced by Taurus Musik, a Kenya based music label, which initiated the contact with Yemi’s producer.

Taurus Musik CEO Ikechukwu Anoke said the move is aimed at fostering the growth of Kenya’s music scene.

In a press release on Monday, P-Unit said their fans should expect greater things this year.

FIVE-YEAR STRATEGY

“We are ready to take Africa by storm. The band has an aggressive five-year strategy aimed at not only branding Kenya as the home of true musical talent but also to demonstrate that music can be a successful career to inspire youth interested in pursuing a journey similar to P Unit,” said group member Gabu.

The group said they chose to collabo with Yemi to break barriers.

“For P Unit music is not a hobby, it is serious business and just like any good business people when in pursuit of a business venture you aim to work with the best,” said Boneye.

Frasha, a member of P Unit said, “Our focus this year is to dominate the Africa charts, delight our fans, mentor upcoming youth and of course make money.”
