Park Inn by Radisson hotel to open its doors next week in Westlands

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will next week welcome its first guests to their second outlet in Nairobi

The new Park Inn by Radisson Nairobi has previously suffered multiple false starts blamed on building delays. It was initially planned to welcome its first guests in the fourth quarter of 2013, but the date has been postponed several times.

Located in Westlands, Nairobi, the brand new hotel boasts of 11 floors with 140 guest rooms and also comprises a live-inn room lounge, informal meeting area and a modern roof top bar overlooking the city.

It also has a breakfast restaurant, a hungry kiosk, a gym, meetings and function facilities and an outdoor plunge pool.

FIRST EVENT

Guests were last week treated to a bookers cocktail at the hotel’s roof top. The cocktail was the first event held at the Park Inn by Radisson ahead of the official opening which will take place after the Easter Holiday.

In Kenya, the Group has The Radisson Blu Hotel in Upper Hill Nairobi and now Park Inn Nairobi Westlands.

The group is also planning to have a residence near Arboretum Park by the end of 2017.

Park Inn by Radisson is owned by AMS hotels and managed by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

Carlson Rezidor first entered Africa in 2000 when it opened its first Radisson Blu in Cape Town, and currently has a portfolio of 35 hotels across 19 countries in Africa, with a global footprint of 1,400 hotels under its brands including Radisson, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED Park Inn, Country Inns, Park Plaza, Quorvus Collection and Hotel Missoni.
